The Białystok project was designed by Marek Budzyński, the architect of the University of Warsaw Library and the Supreme Court Library in Warsaw, iconic examples of Polish postmodernism. The design was selected in an international competition held in 2005. The project, divided into three phases, was completed between 2006 and 2012. As with the Warsaw library, the architectural concept integrates the building with greenery, which plays a fundamental role in the aesthetics of the entire complex. Zbigniew Badowski and Krystyna Ilmurzyńska collaborated with Marek Budzyński on the design of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic. Address: Odeska Street 1, Białystok.
