The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary Queen of Poland in Głogów was built between 1981 and 1986, designed by Marian Fiskus and Jerzy Gurawski. The construction, organized by Father Ryszard Dobrołowicz, was supported by the labor of residents of the Kopernika housing estate, including miners from the nearby copper basin.
