The Church of St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe was built between 1981 and 1987 according to a design by Białystok architect Andrzej Chwalibog. The initiator of its construction was Father Mieczysław Gołaszewski from nearby Studzieniczna, and the building itself was erected thanks to donations and the work of the residents of Kolnica and the neighbouring villages of Czarnucha, Góry and Rzepiska.
