A 20-story office building next to Rondo Grzegórzeckie, which, including its spires, is the tallest building in Krakow (105 meters). The first skyscraper was built on this site between 1972 and 1975, commissioned by the Workers’ Publishing Cooperative “Prasa,” according to a design by Janusz Ingarden and Zbigniew Olszakowski. It remained unfinished for over 20 years, until the 1990s, when the structure was purchased by the Swedish developer Swede Center Ltd. Between 1996 and 1998, the building underwent a thorough redesign and reconstruction based on a concept by Krzysztof Kiender. The modernization was awarded the “Construction of the Year 1998” award. Address: Aleja Pokoju 1, Krakow.
