A postmodernist development located between the socialist realist buildings of Osiedle Centrum A and Central Square, and the Nowohuckie Meadows. It was built between 1988 and 1995, designed by Romuald Loegler, with Wojciech Dobrzański and Michał Szymanowski as collaborators. The concept for the new development was selected in an architectural competition and also included buildings and landscaping to the west of the current buildings, which were later unrealized. These included a museum, an amphitheater, a marina, and a pier (near the planned but unrealized reservoir). The completed development features three internal courtyards and a diagonal east-west internal street; on the south side, the development forms a gentle arc, and on the north, it is enclosed by a lower retail and service pavilion. The development’s architecture features characteristic postmodern features: turrets, gabled roofs, arcades, gates, a variety of shapes, and vibrant colors. Address: Osiedle Centrum E, Nowa Huta, Kraków.
