Krakow, Church of Divine Mercy in the Officers’ Housing Estate

Postmodernist, one of the most interesting contemporary churches in Krakow, built between 1991 and 1994 according to a design by Stanisław Niemczyk and Marek Kuszewski. Consecrated in 2000 by Cardinal Franciszek Macharski. Together with the parish building and a small shopping arcade, it forms a coherent, enclosed complex in the triangle between Bandurskiego, Brodowicza and Moniuszki Streets in the Officers’ Housing Estate. It was built on a plot of land donated to the parish by the President of Poland in exile, Edward Raczyński (1990). Address: 1 Józefa Brodowicza Street, Krakow.
