Krakow, Museum of Japanese Art and Technology “Manggha”

The museum opened in 1994, designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki in collaboration with Krzysztof Ingarden and JET Atelier. It was founded at the initiative of Andrzej Wajda, who allocated funds from the Kyoto Film Prize for its construction. In 2015, the Europe-Far East Gallery, designed by Krzysztof Ingarden and Jacek Ewý, was completed alongside the Manggha Museum. Manggha’s design has been recognized in several architectural competitions, including in 2006, being included in the list of the 20 most interesting Polish projects since 1989 (Poland: Icons of Architecture).
