Lędziny was granted city rights in 1991 after being separated from Tychy following the local government reform of the early 1990s. The office building was constructed on the basis of two simple buildings donated to the new town by the Ziemowit coal mine. The project to modernize them and connect them with a passageway, which is now the building’s most distinctive feature, was designed by Andrzej Krzysztof Barysz and Ryszard Mendrak.
