The temple was built between 1998 and 2000 according to a design by Anna and Wojciech Kawęczyński on the initiative of parish priest Czesław Oleksy. It neighbours the 19th-century St. Anne’s Church, recognised as an outstanding example of Kurpie architecture (listed as a historic monument since 1965), which previously served as the parish church in Łyse.
