A hotel, restaurant, shop and petrol station located on the banks of the Poprad River, among the picturesque wooded slopes of the Beskid Sądecki Mountains, at the foot of the ruins of a medieval castle in Rytro. A perennial favourite in all rankings of the ugliest buildings in Poland, architectural monstrosities and eyesores (3rd place in Makabryła 2010, 3,268 votes). Built at the beginning of the first decade of the 21st century, it was designed by Jakub Potaczek, an architect from Nowy Sącz. The author’s intention was to refer to the surrounding mountain landscape and local motifs. Nowy Sącz deconstructivism à la Gehry. The building arouses controversy, usually strongly negative comments, but at the same time it is becoming one of the main attractions of Rytro, alongside the castle ruins. Address: Rytro 541.

Adjacent to the inn is the equally unusual building of Al-Plast, a door and window manufacturer. Here, the role of sheet metal has been taken over by reflective glass and large windows of various shapes and angles. Address: Rytro 502.
