The church was built between 1979 and 1982 in Tychy on Myśliwska Street, designed by Stanisław Niemczyk (the first sacred building design in his career). The interior of the church is decorated with polychrome by Jerzy Nowosielski. In 2019, the temple, classified as late modernist architecture but already showing later postmodernist tendencies in Niemczyk’s design, was entered on the list of monuments. Ultimately, the architect’s idea of painting the four crosses crowning the roof of the temple in four different colours (red, yellow, white and brown), symbolising the four human races and the unity of the Church, was not realised. In 1983, the Church of the Holy Spirit received the Polish Architects Association’s Award of the Year. Address: 43 Myśliwska Street, Tychy.
