This postmodern church was built between 1984 and 1991, designed by Jacek Gyurkovich, Ewa Węcławowicz-Gyurkovich, and Przemysław Szafer. It was built as a votive offering for Karol Wojtyła’s election as pope and his survival of the assassination attempt by Mehmet Ali Agca. The church’s architecture draws inspiration from St. Peter’s Basilica, Roman triumphal arches, and landmarks in Krakow and Wadowice connected with the life of John Paul II. Address: Aleja Matki Bożej Fatimskiej 90, Wadowice.
