Children like it. Adults, not so much. In 2021, the building was included in a publication by the Culture.pl website, listing “monstrosities” that are destroying the landscape. In 2007, when preparations for the investment were underway, the deputy mayor of Ursynów justified the design choice with cost savings (the cheapest of the three proposed designs was chosen) and lack of time (a competition would have extended the construction process by a year). “We didn’t hold an architectural competition, but I submitted three designs to my children’s preschool.

The preschoolers unanimously chose the one we chose. They didn’t even want to look at the others,” he explained in an interview with a journalist from Gazeta Wyborcza. The building was completed in late 2008 at a cost of 8.4 million złoty. The financially attractive design, which the children enjoyed, was designed by Włodzimierz Jastrzębski and Ryszard Kufel. Address: Pála Telekiego 8, Kabaty, Warsaw.
