The modernization of V Tower (formerly Warta Tower), ongoing since 2024, has become an example of an ecological approach to the problem of aging buildings from the 1990s that fail to meet current standards. Despite estimates that demolishing the building and constructing a new one would be a cheaper solution, Cornerstone Investment Management, the new owner of the property, is revitalizing and modernizing it. It is estimated that the likely carbon footprint of a completely new building would be approximately 27,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions, while a complete renovation would be four times less. The modernized office building is expected to meet not only all current technical parameters but also the highest environmental standards (including BREEAM Excellent and WELL). Warta Tower was built between 1998 and 2000, designed by Leszek Kazimierz Klajnert and Jerzy Czyż. Built in a postmodern style, the building is 82 meters high and has 22 stories. The current interior modernization (the building’s structure and facades will remain intact) was designed by the Warsaw-based studio APA Wojciechowski. Address: Chmielna Street 85/87, Warsaw.
