The center of the Polish capital. A complex of several buildings, including the 105-meter-high Skylight skyscraper, a multiplex cinema, and a shopping mall covered with a distinctive, undulating glass roof, covering over 10,000 square meters and weighing 1,400 tons. The entire complex was designed by the Californian architectural firm Jerde Partnership, in collaboration with Polish firms Ove Arup and Tebodin. The investment, whose main investor was ING Real Estate, and whose initial shareholder (land) was also the City of Warsaw, cost approximately 1.5 billion złoty. Construction, after a six-year preparation period, lasted from 2002 to 2007. The complex houses approximately 200 shops and 30 restaurants and cafes. Address: Złota 59, Warsaw.
