A church commemorating the Millennium of the Diocese of Wrocław, its design echoes that of the Archcathedral of St. John the Baptist on Ostrów Tumski. Built according to the competition-winning design by Jadwiga Grabowska-Hawrylak, designer of the famous Wrocław “sedesowce.” It was built in stages: between 1996 and 2001, to a closed-in shell (consecrated during the 2001 Midnight Mass); in 2007, interior finishing work was completed (designed by Sister Maristella Sienicka); and between 2012 and 2014, the western tower was built (the eastern tower is still under construction).
